Dear Friend,
I cannot even believe that tomorrow is December 1st. This year, semester, month, season has all gone by so fast. Today is gloomy... a perfect day to stay in, throw in a movie or some tunes and make art.
Until tomorrow, I want to share an AMAZING band with you...one of my all time favourites. They are fresh and bring back 'art' to the music world.
Let me introduce you to Eyeye.

365 days in a year. 365 drawings, paintings, doodles, text...no rules...no boundaries. It's all about one artist's journey.

4 Days till the beginning.
Dear Friend...
Today I finished my last piece of the Women's Caucus for Art - St. Louis Traveling Journal. I was happy with how it turned out. The week was an inspiring week and I am excited to begin my sketchbook and blog journey with you.
Please check out http://travellingjournalroxanne.blogspot.com/ in the meantime. One more artist will begin their week and then the book will be bound and off to tour the nation, beginning in Michigan as 2011 begins. Here is the piece I did for that journal today.
Sincerely,
Angeles

LOOKOUT: The Beginning - DECEMBER 1, 2010
A couple of months ago, I was asked to participate this Thanksgiving 2010 week, in a 'Traveling Journal' for the Women's Caucus for Art - St. Louis, MO. I am in the middle of my week but it has been an inspiring week and a great experience. Even though I am an artist, I have never been good at keeping a journal sketchbook. I have bought them with the greatest of intentions and even carry some of them around for a month or two. Sometimes, if you are lucky and come across one (if I haven't already lost it) you might even find a few pages filled with sketches. Well....things are about to turn around. This week has proved to me that I can keep a journal/sketchbook. It's been a very busy week so it's not like I have a lot of extra time on my hands or am bored with nothing to do, but it's been a week of revelation in realizing that with some commitment and purpose, I can keep a sketchbook and I don't have to spend hours a day to come up with something that's not so bad.
So...in saying all of that...here I am with you. I hope as we begin to take this journey, that you become inspired as much as I know I will.
I welcome any comments, suggestions, journal art that you have made...only one rule...be kind to me and to others that might be commenting or sharing their art and thoughts with us. If you are unable to post images, feel free to email them to me and I will get them posted within 48 hours.
The countdown begins to December 1, 2010. Until then, make sure you stop by http://travellingjournalroxanne.blogspot.com/ and check out the Traveling Journal. I know you will enjoy!
