DAY 1: Circusarium

Circusarium

The Beginning.
365 Days.
365 Drawings, Paintings, Prints, Sketches
Involving found objects, paints, crayons, pencils, dirt, tar, oil, water, ketchup, tears, laughs, thoughts, dreams.

Circusarium is a smaller version of a print series I have been working on this semester.  It involves photo litho and screenprinting.  I have been experimenting with taking male catwalk models out of their element and placing them in a totally different element.  The different elements I put them in are very minimal and abstract.  This takes place at a circus.  The eyes of each of the models are covered by either a bright colored circle or a rectangle, which you will find in this piece.  Where the catwalk model lives is not reality.  Although alot of people seem to look to these as if they are higher than everyone else.  The perfect look, perfect body, perfect clothes.  It's a distorted non-reality at most.

Please feel free to leave comments.  I want this to be an interactive experience for both of us.  Also, feel free to either email me images of work you have done or if you can, you may add images yourself.

Hope you have a great December!

Sincerely,
Angeles
